Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to the Skill Certify Help Center. Here you will find answers to the most common questions regarding our assessments, certifications, and verification process.
General Information
1. What is Skill Certify? Skill Certify is an online assessment platform designed to validate professional skills. We provide standardized tests created by industry experts to help professionals prove their expertise and help employers hire with confidence.
2. Are Skill Certify credentials accredited? Our certificates are professional credentials, not academic degrees. They serve as third-party validation of your practical skills and are widely recognized by forward-thinking employers looking for verified talent.
For Candidates
3. How do I earn a certificate? The process is simple:
- Search for an exam.
- Select an Exam from our extensive library.
- Take the Test: Complete the assessment within the given time limit.
- Get Certified: If you pass, your digital certificate with a unique verification ID is generated instantly.
4. What happens if I fail an exam? Don’t worry, failure is part of learning. If you do not achieve the passing score, you can retake the exam after a cooling-off period (usually 24 hours). Check the specific exam page for retake fees and rules.
5. Do the certificates expire? Most Skill Certify credentials do not have an expiration date. However, for rapidly evolving technology sectors, we recommend retaking assessments every 1-2 years to prove your skills remain current.
6. Can I share my certificate on LinkedIn? Absolutely! Your digital certificate comes with a shareable link. You can add it to the “Licenses & Certifications” section of your LinkedIn profile to boost your visibility to recruiters.
For Employers & Verification
7. How can I verify a candidate’s certificate? Verification is instant and free. Visit our [Verify Certificate] page and enter the unique Certificate ID found on the candidate’s document. The system will confirm the candidate’s name, exam title, and issue date.
8. Can I trust the test results? Yes. Our exams are timed and designed to prevent cheating. We utilize various security measures to ensure that the person holding the certificate truly possesses the skills they claim.
Technical & Support
9. What are the system requirements for taking an exam? You need a stable internet connection and a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge). We recommend taking exams on a desktop or laptop computer for the best experience, although our platform is mobile-friendly.
10. I experienced a technical issue during my exam. What should I do? If your internet dropped or the browser crashed, please contact our support team immediately at contact@skillcertify.org. Include your username and the exam name. We will review your log and may provide a reset if the issue was technical.
